Indagato per una truffa assicurativa finita male, il giovane truffatore newyorchese Jimmy
Cremmins scappa dagli Stati Uniti e trova rifugio in Cambogia, a Bangkok, sulle tracce del suo
'maestro' Marvin che è fuggito via portando con sé il bottino. Giunto in Oriente, dopo qualche
tempo riesce ad incontrare Marvin che tenta di persuaderlo ad unirsi a lui nella sua nuova (e
legittima) impresa. Jimmy, tuttavia, è determinato a recuperare i soldi che gli sono dovuti per
tentare di ricominciare da capo, stimolato, in questo, dall'amore che sta sbocciando per
l'archeologa Sophie. Quando Marvin scompare, Jimmy non tarda a rendersi conto che si tratta
dell'ennesima truffa organizzata, questa volta, ai danni di persone sbagliate e assai
pericolose. Per questo si mette alla sua ricerca in un ambiente misterioso e ostile dove anche
il più incallito dei criminali potrebbe trovare delle difficoltà .

buon esordio alla regia per Dillon, che dirige se stesso con discreto successo ed efficacia, in
un buon thriller dai toni orientali ben fatto, che non meraviglia più di tanto ma si mostra
comunque godibile per le situazioni che sa presentare e i suoi personaggi
